Kimberly Reklau is an accomplished family law attorney with Wiemer Law Group, LLC, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since joining the firm, she has forged a reputation for skillfully representing clients in a broad spectrum of family law matters, including divorce, paternity, custody and placement disputes, child support issues, enforcement and modification proceedings, and the negotiation and drafting of premarital agreements.
Known for her composed and pragmatic demeanor, Ms. Reklau excels at guiding clients through even the most emotionally charged and high-conflict situations. She begins each engagement by listening carefully to her client’s concerns and objectives, then crafts a customized strategy tailored to achieve an optimal resolution. Throughout the process, she remains accessible and communicative, ensuring that clients receive candid assessments of the legal landscape, realistic expectations for potential outcomes and clear explanations of their options at every stage.
While Ms. Reklau prioritizes amicable settlement whenever feasible, employing mediation, negotiation and collaborative law techniques, she is equally adept in contested litigation. Her courtroom experience equips her to advocate effectively before judges and opposing counsel if the circumstances demand robust representation. This balanced approach enables her to protect her clients’ interests vigorously, yet judiciously, avoiding unnecessary conflict when a cooperative solution is attainable.
An academic scholar, Ms. Reklau earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire before obtaining her Juris Doctor from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago (now the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law). She has been licensed to practice law in Illinois since 2007 and in Wisconsin since 2012, and she stays dedicated to ongoing learning to keep pace with the constantly changing world of family law.
