Sarah C. Whiting

FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY

Sarah C. Whiting is a law partner at MacGillis Wiemer, LLC who focuses on family law and represents individuals in all matters related to divorce, paternity, grandparent visitation, business valuation, support, property division, and child custody and placement issues. Sarah is an advocate for the best interests of children when appointed as Guardian ad Litem in Family Court. She is also a certified mediator, trained collaborative practitioner, and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst.

‌Sarah earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and a law degree at Marquette University. Prior to attending law school, she worked as a social worker for Wraparound Milwaukee, where she assisted children and families with accessing legal, mental health, educational, and other services. Sarah focuses on assisting parents and clients in confronting conflict and resolving disputes without court involvement. While Sarah believes out-of-court settlement is ideal for restructuring families, she is an experienced trial attorney if court involvement is required.

Sarah was named a Super Lawyer in 2023. She looks forward to transitioning to the role of lead instructor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Family Mediation Certificate.
